Paralympic athlete encourages kids at Children’s Care to follow their dreams
Paralympic athlete Cheri Blauwet visited Children's Care Hospital & School on April 28th, 
2008, to meet with children with physical challenges, encouraging them to test their limits and pursue their dreams. She was in the area to visit family and appear as the featured speaker at the annual B'nai Brith Banquet in Sioux Falls.
Cheri asked the children what they wanted to do when they grew up, assuring them that they could do anything they had a passion for and set their mind to. She told her story of competing in wheelchair racing, and of recently finishing medical school at Stanford University near Palo Alto, California.

Some special needs children require Extended and Medical Care Services due to their diagnoses: Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord injuries, etc, - each of which brings different challenges.
