another piece of clear glass leaving an
insulating air space between them.
The two sheets of glass are sealed
with an air-tight rubber and desiccant seal around the edges.

Double insulated glazed panels can be set directly
into a wall without the expense of a
manufactured casement window.
Double glazing is appropriate for
glazing with a single (i.e., not divided
with lead channel) sheet of textured or
etched glass. If used for an entrance or within
60 inches of a tub drain in a bathroom, the additional glazing
will be of safety glass if required by
the local building code. |
