enclose your beveled glass door panel or stained glass window panel between two sheets of clear glass
(usually 1/8" thick) with an air-tight seal around the edges.

Encapsulated windows can be set directly
into a wall without the expense of a
manufactured casement window. Although not required in Louisiana,
encapsulation is required by the building code in some
parts of the country (for example for hurricane
protection in Florida). Note: If used for an entrance or within
60 inches of a tub drain in a bathroom, the additional glazing
will be of safety glass if required by
the local building code. |
